What to Expect

At Christ Community you will discover a warm group of real people dedicated to following our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

How big is Christ Community?

When you come to Christ Community you will see we are a small church.  Some would call us a church plant, but we are more like a transplant.  We truly want more people to give their hearts to Jesus.

What do I wear?

When you come to you’ll find some people dressed ready to go out for a nice evening after.  You’ll find some people dressed like they would dress for that day normally.  We don’t feel how you dress says anything about your respect for God.  If that was the case we would be dressed nice all the time because we are always in his presence.  When it comes to clothes all we ask is that you wear some.

What happens in a service?

Worship service is typically an hour long.  Services usually consist of 4-5 songs of worship lead by our worship team.  The music is a variety of songs by Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, Jesus Culture and occasionally classic hymns to remind us of our roots. Communion is offered to anyone who wishes to take it. Offering plates are passed for people that have a tithe or offering to give.

Will I be asked to give money?

You are not expected to give anything. Giving, offering and tithing are between God and a person’s heart. We will never tell you that you have to give.  We will give you the opportunity to give by passing a plate in front of you.  Feel free to give or not, but just know there are not going to be eyes watching you to make sure you give.

What do my kids do?

We provide childcare during worship service on Saturdays.  It is in this time where we teach your kids about God.

What if I’m on the fence about God and this whole ‘religion’ thing?

Our service is designed for one thing: to point people to God.  We will present Jesus to you rather than push Jesus on you.  It’s your choice to accept Him.  We will do our best to be open, honest and real with you.  We were all on the fence too at one point after all.
